OneOdio Studio Headphones
Good Evening Everyone,
I wanted to take a few moments of my time, and of yours, to break down my thoughts an feelings on OneOdio’s Studio HiFi Headphones. I was able to pick these up from Amazon for under thirty, and let me tell you I am very pleased with their performance.
The first thing you’ll notice about these headphones is the detachable aux cable. I assume this feature is intended to allow the user to replace the standard cord with a longer or more sturdy model, while also allowing you to replace a damaged cord, instead of having to abandon the headset all together. One thing to note is that the cord does lock into the headset, as to whether this would preclude you from using a third-party aux cord, I am currently unsure.
The sound quality is great, bass heavy instrumentals shake my face while my mind gets pulled away into the dynamic range of the higher frequencies. These headphones are great at creating a sense of large spaces. Unfortunately, it does seem that, for whatever reason, the mid-range frequencies are over compressed and muted. You can feel the base, float in the treble, but if you’re a fan of the mid-ranges, especially vocals, you may find yourself disappointed.
Overall, for the price, I believe these headphones make a great starter headset for any home studio. They come with the regular 3.5mm as well as a 6.35mm audio jack, and advertise the ability to ‘Daisy-Chain’ multiple headsets together. Personally I find little use for this feature, but I could definitely understand the value of having a share-port available. 3.5/5 stars.
